CQC Inspection of June 2019 (report published December 2019)
CQC conducted an inspection in June 2019, which resulted in the CQC serving two section 31 notices on the hospital. Whilst ASC Healthcare acknowledged the need to make an improvement it did not agree with the content of Section 31 notices and raised an Appeal to the Tribunal setting out its objections. On hearing the evidence, the Tribunal upheld our appeal and set aside the Section 31 notices in November 2019.
Since the hearing ASC has been on a Quality Improvement Journey, continuing to implement the significant improvements which had been started in July 2019 and have been working towards completing the below Action Plan.
As an organisation we believe that the report published in December is not reflective of our current service and does not capture the great amount of work we have undertaken since July 2019.
