Social & Corporate Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) can best be defined as – the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of the local community and society at large

It is not a new concept and has been around since the late 1960’s though more latterly has become more widely known as a concept whereby companies decide voluntarily to contribute to a better society and a cleaner environment. A concept whereby companies integrate social and environmental concerns in their business operations and in their interaction with their stakeholders on a voluntary basis.

At ASC Healthcare we strongly believe that CSR and the business of ‘doing business’ in a responsible way has a definite positive social impact. Both inside our organisation and in the communities we work within, our aims and values are always to create and share our wealth, invest in local economies and to share our skills and expertise in support of developing the same in others –. We believe that our ethos and values are what set us apart from others and are what makes us different.

While it may be said that no major company strategy is complete these days without a statement on CSR we clearly recognise the need to be authenticate what we do otherwise people become very sceptical about who you are and why you’re doing it, and that can be very damaging.”

At ASC Healthcare our intent is always to do more than simply write and publish our CSR report to us it is vital that we go beyond looking solely at how to make the most money, to include a wider commitment to building a better society.
